Group Support Program for Partners of Veterans and First Responders with PTS

A psychoeducational and support‑focused group for partners navigating the impacts of PTS in their relationship.

Program Overview

This 8‑week group provides partners of veterans and first responders living with PTS a safe, supportive space to learn, reflect, and connect. The program blends psychoeducation, communication skills, boundary‑setting, emotional regulation strategies, and identity support. It emphasises empowerment, relational resilience, and sustainable self‑care — without pathologising the partner or placing responsibility for the veteran’s recovery on them.

The group is not therapy for PTS, nor is it couples therapy.

It is a support and skills group for partners to understand PTS’s relational impacts, strengthen their own wellbeing, and build healthy patterns of connection.
