Program Overview
This eight-week group program is designed specifically for Australian veterans and first responders living with post-traumatic stress (PTS). The program provides a safe, supportive environment for participants to share experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience. Each session is facilitated by a qualified Counsellor with experience in trauma-informed care and veteran support.
Program Objectives
- To provide psychoeducation about PTS and its effects
- To teach practical coping strategies for managing symptoms
- To encourage peer support and reduce feelings of isolation
- To build skills in emotional regulation, mindfulness, and self-care
- To support reintegration into family, community and professional life
