A structured, trauma‑informed program using writing as a tool for meaning‑making, grounding, and reconnection.
Program Overview
This eight-week group program is designed specifically for Australian veterans and first responders living with post-traumatic stress (PTS). The program provides a safe, supportive environment for participants to explore and share their front experiences, professional identities, PTS and trauma in a safe, caring and collegiate space. Each session is facilitated by a qualified Counsellor with experience in trauma-informed care and writing teacher with more than 20 years experience as a teacher and author. Short stories created as part of the program may be offered publication in a 2026 anthology of collected participants’ work.
No previous writing experience required.
You will not be asked to retell or relive the traumatic experience/s that brought you to the group if you do not want to share.
